Passat for sale.

Post by monsterB3 » Mon Jul 16, 2012 12:07 pm

Hello folks.

Here is an advert for my 2002 V6 4MOTION Passat that has to make way for the arrival of the B3.

I have copied the ad from a VW forum that I use, but I thought I would post it on here just incase anyone knows anyone who might be interested.

Anyway, here is the ad.

Hello folks.

Here up for grabs is my 2002 VW Passat 4Motion V6 saloon in stunning silver. I have owned the car since Nov 2011 but have just bought an Alpina, so the Passat has to go.

This is a Passat forum, so I won't go into too much detail about the technical spec, because most people will know it. It is however a V6, 2.8 5spd manual 4wd petrol car.

Outside. The car has 4 alloys, which although not bent or damaged, do have a few marks on them. They still look good on the car though. It has had an aftermarket grill fitted by the previous owner, and also the HID headlights, also fitted by the previous owner. The car also rides on adjustable suspension, so its sits subtly lower, but not at a silly level. Other than that, its standard on the outside. This is a 10 year old car and there are a few minor cosmetic blemishes but NO rust.

Inside. The car is totally standard inside, other than the fitting of a Parrot Bluetooth system, which works perfectly with my iPhone4. The car has a 6CD changer built into the dash which all works perfectly. The seats are black leather with blue suede inserts. All the seats are in nice condition, and look great in there. I have done a few 500mile trips in the car and found it to be very comfortable. The car has 5 seatbelts and also a ski shute into the boot.

Important stuff. The car has full service history, some VW, some VW specialist. I had the car serviced and MOT'd in June, and am pleased to say the car flew through. The only advisory was the HID headlights and the car needed a new tyre. The spare tyre had a plug in it, so I had two new Bridgestones fitted to the front and the good tyre put on the spare wheel. The rear wheels have plenty of life in them yet. Tax runs out at the end of August, as does my insurance, so I need to sell the car before then. This car has over 11months MOT though and has covered less than 100miles since being serviced. The car has covered 80400 miles and is not being used now due to having the Alpina. I have cleaned the two chambers out beneath the windscreen following a very helpful user guide found onb here.

Price is £1900, which I think is a pretty realistic price. I am based in the NW, not far from Chester and within 2 miles of the Cheshire Oaks Outlet Village.

Ta ta,
Mark.
