I've read it, re-read it, read it again and come to the conclusion that Bill Thomas loves his Alpina as much as I love mine.

He is so right when he talks about the wonderful exhaust note and engine sound under revs - I almost thought he was talking about my car :D

"BMW Car" Magazine - March 2005

Lovely article about the imminent B5 and a great article about Alpina in general

Been off the forum for a while. The article appeared in the March 2005 issue.

The car looked fantastic too!

I bumped in Andrew Everett at the Nurburgring over the Easter holiday. He took a few photos of the car. I bought the May issue yesterday, and noticed that they are doing a track special for the June edition. One of the highlights was mentioned as "Nurburgring adventures".

Hopefully a picture will end up in there again!

I noticed in the fastsaloons.com performance ratings the b10 3.3 gets ratings from various magazines (iirc Autocar, Car and Evo magazine)

I've got the Autocar review, but does anyone know in which back issues of Car and Evo it was tested?

B6 Coupe in this weeks Autocar (10) 7th March 2006 p.40-41

B6 Coupe in this weeks Autocar (10) 7th March 2006 p.40-41

The cover is the Lotus Superhatch

The story title : Soft M6 is hard and fast
Tagline: with a super-torquey V8 and auto gearbox, the ALPINA B6 is a very different fast 6-series.

Verdict: Every bit as desirable as the M6. Not as sharp, but a better grand tourer.

main niggle is handling unsettled at speed.

the inclusion of the LSD goes down well too.
