M25 Lunch Venue Needed

Post by Hector's Dad » Mon Nov 28, 2011 1:21 pm

I've been tasked with finding somewhere for a family lunch get-together in December so I need to find a pub or restaurant in a central location. By central I mean half way between us all i.e. within easy reach of the northern or southern section of the M25. Michelin star not required!

Anyone living in the Potters Bar/Waltham Abbey or Redhill/Reigate areas have ant suggestions?

On the south side, I can recommend

http://www.botleyhill-farmhouse.co.uk/

(we're there with a group of 50 odd HSV friends on Sunday) and also

http://www.thewiremill.co.uk/Home.html

(where the Boxa.net group usually meet once a year).

Good food and accomodating service at both.

We did go there prior to Christmas and I have to say the food was good, the service a little slow but they were very busy. We've been back again since and the food was still good and the service much better.
