Driver quotes:

Dino Lunardi
Nr41 Alpina B6 GT3
"We are very, very happy to be here at Silverstone and to show the Blancpain Endurance Series the competitively of the Alpina. The gap between myself and Stephane (Ortelli) is very important but this track really suits our car. At other tracks like Navarra the gap would be smaller and I think Silverstone is a special track for us. The weather is cold, and maybe we'll get some rain tomorrow, so the story may be different. We are very happy with pole position and we will try our best tomorrow to win the race."

Not sure of the final result- as not yet on the website and I had only got to watch the first hour live (watching the rest now!)

James was our roaming reporter and thinks the ALPINA was in 6th entering the last lap but got a puncture...

Car 41 led for the first hour, losing the lead 1 lap before it pitted as it lost out when they were overtaking a backmarker.

1st pit stop was 2 min 18 secs
The ALPINA re-entered the race in 4th

and took 3rd place within the next couple of laps

With 1hour 10mins left they lost 3rd to the Audi R8
and pitted again
and re-entered the race in 10th (with Lunardi driving)
Linardi flying and was challenging for 3rd and 4th

With 45mins left got a puncture on front left tyre :(
He came off at Croft (not sure if puncture was cause or result)
Pitted and came back out again with only that 1 tyre changed.
Reentered back in 9th
with 35mins left retook 8th
with 30mins left retook 7th
with 29mins left retook 6th

with 14mins to go it started raining
with 12mins left Linardi overtook the race leader to unlap himself !

The 'team mate' Z4 went onto win.

Just came back. The result was no good. I thought there might be a podium finish with Pole position to start the race but Sixth. Damn! :(

Anyway the car limped back for the last lap with a tyre puncture on near side. The left front was completely on the ground. At one point I heard the car was going to finished as the sound was like a misfire or dead engine at my favour spot where I watched all the crash, overshot and fire/smoke from the exhaust etc.. That missing beat from the engine was a bit costly as the car was in a good shape before that and then it dropped to Sixth until the end with a tyre puncture.

Hopefully next time there will be a better luck and that is race. Really enjoy the race weekend.

I need time to sort out the photo as I took a lot for this weekend. Hopefully I may be able to post on the forum and the rest I will ask Neil to post it on.
