F30 B3 and D3 brakes

Post by james158 » Fri Nov 16, 2018 10:15 pm

Hi

I was wondering if anyone has had to replace their brakes on their F30 Alpina? I am trying to locate the best place to purchase them but can’t find them. I thought they were standard 335i discs and pads but it seems the pads are alpina specific and being quoted £300+ for new front pads!

Just after any advice if anyone has any.

Thanks James

Hi.
For 5000km I have to change the brake pads in my Alpina D3
My BMW dealer offer me BMW Pads nr:34116865460. (not alpina dealer)
I'm not sure if this is correct.
Now my brakes isn't so good on the cold brakes.
It looks like the brakes are not better than I had in e91 3.0D LCI - maybe it just seems to me.
Brake servo isn't good, when I compare to my old E91 or my wife's F20 2015.
So that, I woud like to buy oryginal Alpina brake pads or better.
Can you tell me where I can buy the best brake pads?

I bought PAGID RS A4 from Alpina dealer.
The number is: 3411185.
Is this a good choice?
Are they braking well on cold discs?
Thank you for any answer.

Try CPC in Amersham, I have use them to change disks and pads on my F30 B3 and they used all original Alpina parts and was quite knowledgable. Give Phil a call h will be able to help and give you a quote.

My mate with a 2016 F30 has gone through this dilemma this week.
He was quoted £265 for pads at Sytner.
He managed to find a couple of friendly folks at Euro car parts and took the old pads over.
They checked through the stock and the M3 pads were exactly the same. £80 later they are fitted and working fine.

Same Pagid pads with the same Pagid numbers that Sytner had fitted previously.

Edit
I should have said this is on a D3 3.O

Has anyone bought rear pads recently? I need to grab a set, and was wondering if it's normal M Sport, M3 or otherwise that I need?
