Any watch conessuirs ? Bretling
Moderator: neil
I have spoken to watch buyers co.uk they have the watches at slmost 25% discount but it's mail order nice chap knows there stuff
Each watch I likebis several hundred cheaper than goldsmiths so that is a dilemma as really it's the buying experience but the price difference is pointing me to online so I would need to try each watch for size weight m then be a time waster at the store
Thoughts ?

Hap, after the 30 minutes in the shop feeling all special you will have watch that in the grand scheme of things would of cost a lot less if you can miss out on that 30 minutes.
Try the watches out in the shop but buy as cheap as you can otherwise it’s its an expensive vanity project buying from the shop.
The shop may move on their price to a half way house or better position if pushed. I got a discount on the Breitling when I got that. The other two were from eBay so were bargains.

After a few weeks of perusing, reading and travelling to see various watches I managed to pick up exactly what I was after in the shape of an Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch. It isn't new and dates from 2011, had a major service in 2014 by Duncan at Genesis Watchmaking. The previous owner is a good friend of his so it got serviced just to make sure all was well inside.
I'm delighted with it as it fell just within budget

Very early versions are set to rocket in price next year with 50 years of the moon landing and it being the watch Buzz Aldrin wore when he landed.Rav wrote:That looks ace.
