update: the bottom of the block has been reassembled.
Yes , they were placed too high and is on the snagging list for the body shop to do when the car goes back to them in a few days.hap wrote:Sab did you get the measurements for the placement of the badges?
Just they look a tad high to me
The last few weeks have been chaotic and positively stressful.
The body shop hadn’t fisinshed the car before Silverstone and the chassis install date was near. We agreed to do these bits following the chassis as there was no other choice.

Thanks both,
Hap - I appreciate all comments, good, bad , constructive or just pointing out an error or something missed (like the tyres from metrics).
Ill post some photos of the interior this evening, it’s had a makeover with a few custom touches from me.

Hi Mate,Metrics wrote:Sab, I don my cap to you mate, some serious commitment going on here.
Still feel bad about the tyres comment
Your comments steered me towards the correct tyres which were oe and for that I thank you.
You shouldn’t feel bad at all, in fact you did me a favour and made a valued contribution to the car and for that I thank you.
The reason Sab’s B3 has oe tyres is because a discerning Alpina owner pointed it out to him as he wasn’t aware of his mistake.
The tyres transformed the ride before the chassis replacement.
Let take a look at my interior.
Ok, so before i share the photos, some of you may remember my car had the grey sports interior which was a fairly pricey option and also used in the m3.
The original invoice revealed that the first owner (when choosing the seat option) had the choice between the square sports seat or Vader's. He chose the Square sports seats with heated functions.
Interior before
All new interior
So there you go my new interior with Vader’s.
My own stripe and stitching ideas implemented.
Alcantara to A,C Pillars, parcel shelf and headliner.
Steering wheel re leathered with blue/green stitching.
Door cards changed to black, inserts releathered with blue/green stitching.
New leather gear gator, arm rest and handbrake gator with blue/green stitching.

Thanks Ali,ali wrote:Absolutely love what you have done to the interior.
The Alpina flashes on the seat are a work of genius
The subtle stitching all round is sublime
Stunning job
I love the way it has all come together. It looks so much better in real life than in my head as a idea.

I didn’t consider changing to m3 mirrors, not ever thought about it.ali wrote:Are you sticking with the stock exterior mirrors or going down the M3 mirror route. I much prefer the look of them on an E36 over the standard ones
To be honest, I’m fine with the oe ones on the car.
Having said this, I saw Glen’s B3 at Silverstone with the m3 mirrors and they looked really good on the car.

You like it then. 🙂Metrics wrote:Wow, just wow - who did the trim work? You have deep pockets mate!
The car is a childhood fantasy pal.
It had to happen one day that I own a very special e36.
Yes the interior had to be premium so Jason Cooper was the only choice without hesitation.
With interiors, there are many grades to choose from and I wanted this design. You get what you pay for, and if you want the best and be confident that your own ideas will be created to the last stitch speak to Jason Jooper owner of J Cooper trimmers - http://www.jcoopertrim.co.uk/index.php
Jason is a smashing bloke and now a friend.
There is nothing he cannot do with interiors and convertible roofs.
