Selling my D4 £27,500

Post by runnerbean » Tue Jul 03, 2018 8:38 pm

Built to my spec and collected by me from the Buchloe factory in October 2014. I'm the only person to have driven it and I have loved every mile, averaging 39 mpg overall. 0-60 in 4.6 seconds, 350 bhp & 516 lb ft of torque have a quality all of their own. Beautiful in Alpina Green with Saddle leather, Business Nav, Folding rear seats; fault free and virtually unmarked. One of only 39 D4s in the UK -good value now and you won't be disappointed! Price dropped to £26,500. Must be a bargain for someone now given the price of the other D4's currently for sale.

@Andrew: have you had a price from webuyanycar? Wouldn't be surprised if they'd offer close to this if you need to move her on.

Thanks for the suggestion - I guess webuyanycar is worth a try but I think I'll have one more go with Auto Trader first. I'm quite surprised it hasn't sold but I think diesels are a bit marmite for some at the moment. Shame - it's a really fab car and only for sale because I've accumulated too many points on my licence.

I can understand that, having sold a car through WBAC it's a soul-less transaction and not ideal for something as bespoke as an Alpina which should be appreciated, but it can serve a purpose.

Bare in mind you will most probably be chipped down on the price once you are there to do a deal, very few walk away with the price quoted online.

Can you not have it stored at all until all the points have elapsed.

It isn’t that deisels are marmite but the while uncertainty of the future of deisel vehicles. With the media speculation and some cities across Europe potentially banning derv cars that brings uncertainty to market and sadly that means prices plummeting. I’ve recently been in the market to spend £20-£25k on a car and I crossed deisels off my lust for that very reason. just look at the price if F30 B5 and D5 for comparisson The D5 can now be had for as little as £20k and at leadt £30k to get into a petrol version for night on identical performance
