Couple of reasons really, firstly I like the discreet nature of the Alpina and the gold decals drew a bit more attention than I liked from certain passers by, secondly I felt if you are going to have the decals it's best to have the full set.
I started with silver letters, changed to gold letters and finally, after 250,000 miles, added the stripes :shock:

Totally agree mine has just the silver letters on silver grey so it's very discreet
