Thanks hap

But he went to see that car on Saturday last. According to him...not me...it's quite rough and needed a lot of money and time spending on it.

Front seats don't match at all and interior generally quite poor, front spoiler damaged and loose, all tyres mis-matched, MOT history shows needs quite a few front suspension parts require re-newal.

That was just his visual inspection from the outside. Apparently he didn't even stay to view it together with the owner and discuss things but just left straight away. he'd driven all the way from Shropshire to Surrey to view it which is a shame because I think he should have stayed and had a sensible discussion with the owner and seen if there was some sensible compromise they could have come to on the purchase price.

That's what I would have done. Unfortunately, my mate is quite as compromising!

My only plans at the moment are, to get it serviced, and, get the leather matching.

Not sure why some of it has bleached so much? It;s as if they've been taken from another car, but, there are some places on the driver's seat, that are still Champagne.

I would recommend replacing the tyres with michillin ps4

Congrats on the purchase, looks a lovely car and a nice project to spend some time on.

Almost certainly repaired/reconnolised drivers seat (and I think part of the rear bench too?) at some point in its life and that coating has aged differently with the more intense exposure to sunlight being a convertible.
Champagne leather is not easy to maintain...

Should be easy enough to fix though, but you may need to recoat all the interior leather to ensure a perfect match. Will be worth it though as a mint condition Champagne interior is a sight to behold 8)

It's 201, the service history is adequate, it'll get a full service very soon, fingers crossed, there'll be no major issues :)

Oh, I described it as Champagne, but it's officially Ercu.

Where would I start thread for the car?
