Alpina changed the cams and some other ancillary components in the s models to reduce the temperature in the catalytic converters thus allowing more power to be produced without damaging the cats. The gearbox was also tweaked for faster shifts and adaptive dampers were fitted aswell.
The B6s also were given lovely carbon vented bonnets to add extra bling and aid cooling.

Phil now you are just teasing the man with the unobtainable, as let's face it you and I are not about to sell ours so out of luck there, and the other one is in hiding!

Not 5 seats either, but with the roof down I really enjoyed my trip to Provence in 2016.

I have a turbocharged TVR which is mad when the boost kicks in as there are no driver aids at all except an LSD, but like most in this post I do prefer the linear power delivery of the supercharger. Even considering supercharging my M3.

You will just have to buy a B5 or B5s,

TVR Chimaera 400 - Turbocharged - Gone
Porsche Cayenne GTS 4.8, Oops, the dark side has landed!
BMW E34 Racing Dynamics K38 - Gone
Alpina B3S Convertible - Gone due to B6S
BMW X5 4.6is - Gone
Alpina Roadster 3.4S - Gone
BMW E46 330d M Sport Touring - Gone
BMW M3 Evo E36 - Gone due to B3S
BMW 840 Ci Sport - Gone, but what a car
BMW M3 E30 - sadly departed

Too little time...Too many cars!

Lol, I wonder if we do signed statements saying we won’t sell our cars for less than £x amount we can prove to an insurance company that on an agreed value policy that to purchase a like for like car would cost £x amount!
