Hi guys I've seen a lot of people on different forums fitting the 6wb clocks to their f30's and wondered if I buy a new clock will I have the alpina in the rev counter and green instead of red when I'n sport mode? Mine is the f30
Bi turbo and I would only purchase the clocks if it could be done right ! Alpina have them listed on there new car options list at around 800 for the 6wb digital cluster ......
F30 digital cluster
If they can be factory coded to Alpina design (like the Sat Nav opening flash display can be) then yes i'd say that it's possible to code them to the car correctly.
Best way would be to interrogate any F3x BMW that has the 6wb display and see if the Dash ECU has Alpina options to set the display to.

Nothing to see here.... move along in an orderly fashion please!

Bavarian coding do it, its reasonably big bucks, but having had it in a 640d its better than the analogue read outs. What iv yet to see if how the alpina set would look as the navy blue dials are iconic in these cars, in my opinion.
