B7 E65
I remember looking at this car when Khan sent it to Sytner. Japanese import, I am not sure if Sytner were able to change it from Kilometers to miles. I must be at least 2 years ago.
From memory I would say the mileage is correct if it has been unused since I saw it. However, B7 is an extreme limited market for the E65. I wonder if BMW UK Limited would even give any warranty opportunity as it is an import?
The risk factor of failure of components with no warranty makes this a fairly unattractive car, in particular the potential for a replacement supercharger. Other common failure is the water cooled alternator, rear boot pump and cylinder, sat nav hard drive. All of these I have had replaced under warranty oh and not to forget a replacement catalytic converter.
If nothing goes wrong, then super car to own and will still knock the socks of most large vehicles in terms of speed and comfort. There were only 11 E65 made for the UK and only 1 in 2006, this is a rare car but not one of the 11, of which it is believed 6 exist.

I believe either written off or beyond economic repair. There was one for sale some years ago at a indy dealer near Heathrow, it is alleged that a chap bought it and crashed it at Castle Coombe the following weekend.
Whilst prices of 15K are suggested for these vehicles, if there is not a full service history by officially approved BMW dealer, then I personally would not touch one unless I was either loaded or happy to write off the initial investment. Many of these vehicles have suffered supercharger failure, however it is difficult to determine if this is due to incorrect filters being fitted by dealers who are using the BMW UK data base for the model which will probably show as an E65 750i, or just component failure. Not sure the exact replacement price but suggested around 5K or so.

Presumably you say this to allow the car to qualify for BMW warranty?
If so, just to add that while a warranty can be applied to a car with full BMW SH, the premium will be eye-watering, due to the period where the car has been uninsured.
By contrast a car that has always been covered by a BMW warranty from new will be much much more reasonable on the premium.

Re: B7 E65
But since this is a Japanese import, a full history is difficult to verify let alone a BMW one.Metrics wrote:Hi NorrieNorrie wrote: Whilst prices of 15K are suggested for these vehicles, if there is not a full service history by officially approved BMW dealer, then I personally would not touch one unless I was either loaded or happy to write off the initial investment.
