Quick question: Drive moderately

Post by MichaelC » Thu Nov 16, 2017 8:22 pm

I am due to have a new cat sensor fitted tomorrow.

The car has been laid up the past week at home but on firing her up, talk about rough idle and chugging! The amber engine warning light is flashing and the message "drive moderately otherwise you will fook the catalytic convertor" flashes up on the idrive screen.

The garage is about fifteen miles from home. What exactly is driving moderately? Keeping the revs low, say no more than 2000/2500 rpm? I think I will wait until the rush hour/school run traffic is out of the way to give me a clearer drive.
