Sounds very much like someone has just bought it and trying to flip it on for a chunk of cash.
Shame the last owner that had it 17 years wasn't on here !!!
Lovely looking car but £20k on any E36 is a nonsense
I'd put it at £8k - £12k depending on full information fothcoming

The MoT history makes for some reading. Previous owner only seemed to do the bare minimum to scrape through each year.
Suddenly going from a mega list of advisories to none at all always makes me suspicious.
Could well be a proverbial 10 footer!!

I'd tend to agree but with one exception (and I'm not being biased)... B8 prices have been going only one way, and I believe convertibles have been advertised at well over €60k on the continent. So perhaps your adage should only apply to RHD E36s

It was MoT'd at Grassicks so I guess it used to live in Perthshire. I certainly never saw it on the road. Any idea where the seller is located?

I saw that but assumed it was a forum profile name or something

Shame it was spirited down south as I'd certainly have checked it out in Perth. It would have been a nice match with the B8 8)

Definitely around Guildford because the sellers Linked In profile shows career history around Guildford. Photobucket account also shows him to be a flipper. Lots of photos of different cars with the same nice background.

wow! Great to see another one of the tourings found! I'd like to know where he found it etc

Epic uneeded waffle in the advert. As for the advisories on MOT, its not done enough miles to be a proper pig yet i'd say

A lovely car 8)

A comment on the MOT history - Grassicks are a BMW dealer and so tend to list every single blemish. Going down the list of items, a lot of them are commensurate with age of the car. Admittedly they should be addressed by a committed and conscientious owner, but there's nothing too surprising on that list.

The last post on the thread:
Just a quick comment to the select few on the Alpina register to which I am unable to register on for whatever reason, they comment on the last MOT having 10 advises, they have been addressed, the next comment on me being a trader because I have some cars on my Photobucket from when I lived at home with parents is absolute rubbish! The photos on there date back to when I was 19 so 14 years and theres about 12 cars on there so not a very good trader! Cars are my hobby and pleasure I love them and have lost huge amounts of money on them but that's cars for you and wouldn't change it, plus I have recently just spent £3k on the Alpina and the last service invoice totalled £1500!
I'm selling the Alpina to go towards a business venture that is all I may even sell my RS4 which I have owned for over 4 years also, the longest I have owned a car for. I do not take lightly to selling rare cars like this as it will be the last time I see it or afford it for that matter.

Apologies for the rant not aimed at anyone on here.
