It's a lovely looking car but the colour of the powdered coated parts spoils it for me. I thought to be concourse it had to be original unless there's other categories?

At some point somebody went to the effort of trying to make it look like an Alpina.

Clearly looked after but I get the impression that he couldn't stop fiddling with the powder coating.

Definitely not to my taste.

I want to powdercoat some suspension parts on my E38 B12 5.7,
But I'll be going with plain BLACK or SiLVER,
the same colour in which it left the factory

Modifications are hard to please everyone, opinions are always split.

In my opinion apart from the Lego-like powder coating colours the car actually looks quite clean. Seems to be a bit overpriced but anyone looking for a mint E38 750i might be prepared to pay the price. I'd say good luck with the sale to the current owner.
