Not had this long and will be sad to see it go but I need funds for my E30 M3.

MODEL HISTORY

The Alpina B2.5 was based on an E36 325i and 200 total were produced in saloon, coupe and convertible body shapes. Power was increased over the standard 325i by 24bhp to 216bhp with the introduction of Alpina cams, ECU and exhaust. The list price at the time was £29K, approx £7K more than the base 325i. The Alpina alterations comprised:

Uprated camshafts
Remapped ECU
Alpina stainless exhaust system
Revised suspension with Bilstein shock aborbers
8J x 17 front and 9J x 17 Alpina light alloy wheels
Alpina front splitter
Alpina rear boot spoiler
Numbered dashboard plaque
Alpina three spoked Momo steering wheel
Alpina wooden gear lever
B2.5 and Alpina exterior badges

RECENT HISTORY

MOT passed in March 2017 with no advisories
Full service in December 2016 including head gasket due to coolant leak from edge of block
4 new tyres in December 2016 - Continental Contact Sport 5
New rear wheel bearing fitted

EXTERIOR

The paintwork is Lagune Green which is a fabulous colour that changes from light to dark depending on the daylight. Overall the bodywork is in good condition that in no way reflects the mileage of the car. There are a few marks and scratches but in general it looks great. The main defect is a 20mm dia area of bubbling paint towards the back of the left rear wheel arch. There is also a 5mm area of bubbling paint on the front bumper trim, adjacent to the right hand side indicator. Next to this there is also a small split in the front bumper, approx 30mm long. The front splitter has some scrapes on the lower left and right sides from rubbing on kerbs.

Like many E36s, the rear jacking points were starting to look a little scabby so I had plates welded on which should be good for years to come. The wheels look OK from a few feet away but would benefit from a refurb. They do look presentable though. The car is fitted with M3 wing mirrors which look a million times better than the standard E36 mirrors but the originals will be supplied. It is also fitted with standard orange indicators, which I prefer, but I have a full set of clear lenses (front & wing indicators plus rear light clusters) which again will be included.

INTERIOR

The interior, like the exterior, is generally in very good condition. The seats are good, with some wear to the drivers bolster as usual. The front seats are sports seats from a coupe which I fitted as they are much more supportive (and better looking) than the standard SE saloon seats that the car originally came with. The original seats will also be supplied with the car though and they are in super condition. I can only assume that they have been recovered at some point because they really do look lovely. One of the rear door cards has had a repair done, maybe 20mm long, which isnít great but it doesnít stand out too much. The drivers side door rubber has split, around 50mm, but the functionality is fine.

The carpets are excellent and new good quality floor mats have recently been fitted. The stereo is a Kenwood KDC-BT73DAB which is about as subtle as modern head-units get. The illumination matches the OEM colour well and it has all the latest conveniences: DAB, handsfree calling, iPod/iPhone control, bluetooth music streaming, front and rear USB, CD etc. The original remote key fob is still working well and operates the central locking and OEM alarm. The OBC display has a few missing pixels (dash is all fine though) as most do and the rear rear windows canít be operated from the front (but they work fine from the rear). Recently, the heater controls have started playing up but I havenít had the chance to investigate yet. Sometimes the blower stays on cold even though it is set to warm and vice versa. I understand that this is fairly common on E36s and it is likely to be sticky valves in the distribution unit in the engine bay.

SERVICE HISTORY

Mechanically, the car stops and goes as it should. It has a superb service history with 25 stamps in the service book and stacks of invoices, old MOTs, photos etc. Service stamps are as below:
