B5s & biturbo for sale

Post by Cook » Sat Jan 14, 2017 11:57 pm

Sytner in leics has a B5 biturbo touring for sale. 60k and a lefty E60 B5s !
That touring looks stunning except the chrome round the glass is a bit meh, black trim would improve that no end. Now off to look down the sofa....

That B5 BiT is costly and whoever specced it originally was REALLY tight with the options

No surround view; no cooled seats; the entire switch bank under the lightswitch is empty - :? Tightwad but lovely colour scheme. I was glad to see the fuel gauge was in the correct place for a B5 BiT - empty. Not just me, then

Agree with the above - cracking looking car but seems expensive for what it is. Might have been interested if it had a tow bar.

They're being a bit cheeky. It was for sale in September 2014 with 4k miles for £59,850.

Think that's more than "being a bit cheeky'.....more like taking the proverbial!

So what is the consensus on real world value on the B5 biturbo if 60k is too steep ? 50/55k ?? Quite a rare thing in RHD ? And with the new B5 due out in 2017 would it be cause for this to depreciate quickly? Very tempted you see and man maths is in overdrive ! Crikey ive even paused Inspector Montalbano. Put down the shiraz and got a pen & paper out 🤔🤔🤔
As usual your opinions are awaited with anticipation.....

Values are very hard due to the rarity, hence mine being a used LHD sourced in Germany, where currently you could spend anything from €35k for a 194k km 2011 Touring to €74k for a 19k km 2013 saloon.

From a selfish point of view there are plenty of 100k km cars on sale that are more than I paid for mine, but mine's got 3-4 years to go before the new B5s come up used at a value I can justify :?
