An excellent read of the E21 ALPINA, and with good history of ALPINA GB i.e. TWR.

I will be reading the article again just to make sure that I am not wrong but it seems that there were some 335i E21’s made for the GB market. These used the 3.5 ALPINA engine i.e. B6 3.5. Does anyone know if any of these cars still exist today, and how many examples were built?

In August 1981, the B6 2.8 received a more highly-developed induction system which made the 2.8 litre six cylinder produce 218 bhp, exactly the same as BMW´s 3.5 litre engine.

Could it be they just mis understood this?? A 3.5 E21 would be intersting.

Yep, I've read it a couple of times, & still can't quite get the gist: TBMWs pretty good, but they aren't always spot on.

Glad it is not just me that finds the article confusing and think TBMW have got it wrong but

I however have found this video on YouTube therefore it does make you think if TBMW have uncovered an unknown TWR 335 model?

At the moment I am keeping an open mind because I think when I was a kid I did see an E21 335 – I can be wrong. Also AFAIK ALPINA never made an official model E21 B6 335 and that the E30 B6 3.5 are all LHD. I am now completely confused Confused Confused Confused

That will be one seriously cool E21. Just thinking out loud, if somehow ALPINA provided Sytner with an ALPINA VIN then Sytner could re-register it has a 2009 model. I think a genuine enthusiast will pay an astonishing amount for an E21 ALPINA. However the car must come with a/c and leather Laughing

Can anyone shine anymore light on a 335 E21? I can be completely wrong but I do think that the US did have a 335 E21 model, can someone please confirm or deny this, cheers

These 335 E21s Do indeed exist!
TWR built three of them and one was rescued by Mark per below thread on E21 forum

Not sure what happened recently

Sorry to resurrect an old thread!
