i had 2 bulging discs lower back and after acupuncture and physio i tried chiro after my wife had been telling me about it for ages.... wish id listened to her sooner. that was about 6 years ago and been going since. its really improved my health and quality of life and id suggest everyone has it done a few times a year

How long are you getting for £32.50?

Not 100% the same thing but Mrs. Mark runs a traditional Chinese medicine practice. She charges something like £50-£60/hour for massage and acupuncture. Don't quote me on those figures but they're nor far off.

And if helpful surely it's worth the money?

I've used an osteopath who also happened to be a private GP. I was charged £30 for half an hour which I considered to be a very reasonable rate.

Well worth it.

It took me years to get over a nasty sidecar racing accident (Broken back & scull fracture)
With out my Osteopath I would be in a very different way now.

I go back3-4 times a year to make sure all is still good.

There seems to be pretty good evidence that chiropractics and osteopathy work well for lower back conditions - but rather poor to no evidence for much else that some practitioners claim.

hap I won't ask what it's for but if it's not for a back problem you might want to review the NHS pages on the available evidence regarding effectiveness before splashing the cash.

ETA: Sorry, only just noticed this is a bump of a very old thread from 2014.
