first drive of my m535i
just a few piks of one of my cars first drive since owning it for a couple of months after sorting a few things on it some may say its the ugly duckling of the 80s beemers
I do but not sure where they are. It was about 15 years ago that I went to look at the car with the view of buying it. 7.5k and I didn't buy it. I have regretted it ever since.daneil wrote:mcb any piks bud pleaseMCB wrote:Nothing ugly about that! I drove a well sorted M version. Same colour as yours. Best car I have ever driven. Handled like a mini on the twisty bits
If I am to be honest it scared the bloody life out of me. It was chipped and so well sorted. I have never driven a car as good and fast as that since.
I will try and find the pictures, but cant promise. Bloody nice car though. D reg, dolphin grey and as clean underneath as it was on top.
You should black all the chrome out like they did on the M cars. I notice your rear lights are already done.

There were some great cars in the 80s and you could enjoy driving them back then. No speed cameras every few miles to spoil your funB10BRW wrote:I have fond memories of the E28, my first newly new BMW back in the mid 80's, 1984 528i manual
Did 40000 trouble free miles, always with a smile on my face.
Sold it after 2 years for more than I paid for it, that started my love affair with BMW and Alpina

Yes, we had something called patrol cars, who not only kept the idiots of the road, the officers had common sense and used their discretion to do you or notMCB wrote:There were some great cars in the 80s and you could enjoy driving them back then. I drove an E28 last year for the first time in lowly 520 form
It didn't feel quite as nimble as the E30 but no where near as bloated as some of the modern 3er and 5er.
In a few years if ££ allowed I'd love an E28 M5
