Taken from the video.............

The B9 came in 1982 and replaced the 630CS B2. The B9 was replaced by the B10 in 1985. A total of 121 cars were built between 1982 and 1987. The engine was identical to that of the B9 3.5 saloon. It was based on BMW´s 3.5 liter unit but Alpina had made some modifications to the engine. They had fitted Mahle pistons and a sharper camshaft, modified the cylinder head and combustion chambers and reprogrammed the Motronic system. The result was 245 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. The B10 had the same engine as the B6 3.5 which produced 261 bhp. The gearbox was made by Getrag and had 5-speeds. The B9 and B10 used the Alpina-Bilstein suspension with progressive springs and gas-pressure dampers. Behind the 16 inch Alpina alloys (and 205/55 tires at the front and 225/50 at the rear) were ventilated discs on all four corners of the car.

Data for Alpina B10 3.5 Coupe, manufactured or sold in 1985, version for Europe (since July) with 2-door coupe body type, RWD (rear-wheel drive) and manual 5-speed gearbox. Engine of 3430 cm3, power 192 kW / 257 hp / 261 PS, 5800 and 345 Nm. This model outside length is 4755 mm / 187.2 in, it's 1725 mm / 67.9 in wide and has wheelbase of 2630 mm / 103.5 in. The officially claimed value of a drag coefficient Cd = 0.41. Reference vehicle weights are: official base curb weight 1445 kg. Performance: top speed 250 km/h (155 mph) (declared by factory); accelerations 0- 60 mph 6 s, 0- 100 km/h 6.4 s (declared by factory), 1/4 mile drag time (402 m) 14.3 s. Fuel consumption and mileage: official: 11.3 l/100km / 25.1 mpg (imp.) / 20.9 mpg (U.S.) / 8.9 km/l , average estimated by a-c: 13.6 l/100km / 20.7 mpg (imp.) / 17.2 mpg (U.S.) / 7.3 km/l, average estimated combined driving range (km / miles on tank) of this car is 807 km / 500 miles.

In May 1982 the limited edition Alpina B7S Turbo Saloon went out of production. In the same month Alpina introduced the second limited edition series, the B7S Turbo Coupe. But this time the production was limited to just 30 cars instead of 60. The Coupe had the same 330 bhp 3.5 liter turbocharged engine and the same gearbox as the saloon. A five-speed unit, specially developed by ZF to handle to the giant torque, 500 Nm, exactly the same as in the BMW M5. That made this car very fast. 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds and a top speed of over 260 km/h. Of course all other sub-systems of the car were changed to handle the power, such as improved suspension, wheels and brakes.
