I think if I was buying that car, I'd have trouble not telling anyone too!

Well done for holding out so long!

Not only have you upgraded to petrol....which is a result in it's self! :D

But you've also gone over to the sexier coupe shape! :D

Plus you've still got the Roadster!

Alpina heaven!

Lucky sod(s)! :D

Cheers all. We're very, very pleased :D We got a great deal and didn't want to reveal too much in case someone stole our thunder. Now it's a sealed deal, she's ours on Saturday and no-one else can barge in  A couple of minor cosmetics to sort, but we'll sort that to our satisfaction, not theirs (if you know what we mean ;-)) as part of the deal we brokered. We also had to dive in as these come along very rarely, and it was within the top 2 cars we were aiming at to give us the car we needed ie auto, fast, properly engineered and a bit special to look at/be in.

The Roadster S will still go eventually, certainly this year as the aim. There are a few changes afoot, and this was stage 1, but at least we can still enjoy the RS too until someone wishes to take her away: it just felt so wrong to sell the RS and see it go to auction as she's far, far too good for that. Plus, a dealer would have just made a killing on her  The p/x offer on #097 is a good one and in-line with my man-maths, but she can still go privately if someone steps in.

Those of you in the know will appreciate that B3SBT coupe #285 was the Autocar test car. So, we'll see if they broke it!

Pictures, of course, will be posted as soon as we get her home, washed and 'acceptable' for a 1st public viewing  A bit of hard work getting her up to scratch is to be expected.

An excellent choice, Ade. Like you say, these seldom appear on the market so you had to move quickly. Congratulations . :yahoo: :dance2:

Very nice, you certainly like your black cars !
I don't know too much about B3's let alone the B3S. I'm guessing it's fast ?
Interior colour combination looks great also and I see it has idrive.
Congrats :D

Congrats :D
Didn't want black again as a 1st preference: however, it isn't a colour we didn't want and it was available at a good deal and as there are only 12, one has to take what one is offered ;-) We'll learn to live with the colour 8)

Performance is 'brisk' when desired:-
400hp, 540Nm, 0-62mph in 4.7s, 186mph top speed  (won't be going there)combined mpg 29.4

So, Roadster S-esq performance and economy, D3BT levels of comfort and space(ish), more kit than our house (much of which I'll probably never use  ) and nicely desirable and different-enough to pique our interest.

5 days to go 8)

No doubt there will me a monochrome B3SBT coupe picture moment in the near future, Brian. Thanks for listening

 Thanks Mac. Still a wrench to let #097 go, but as they say, needs must.

I've been gaining an awful lot of knowledge about #285: all good, thankfully, and when asking direct questions of the seller, the information received back matches that I have been given by a number of uninterested 3rd parties 8) Good vibes :dance2:
