If you search Alpina D5S UK road test all the usual magazine reviews appear of this actual car. Autocar say it was an £86k cancelled order, EVO refer to the sybaritic ride.
Quite a few of the early ones (like this one) had the pricey adaptive drive and active steering which were standard on the B5. #009 had them and I would have ordered both again on LCI #250 but they were removed from the LCI options.
It did get the small power and torque boost with the LCI but increased in weight (I think) from the mild hybrid.
