£25K! A little more than I expected the asking price to be, but some of the more unusual models do seem to be attracting hefty asking prices. The auction value could tell us a lot

Ah yes I was waiting for the auction to go live, it’s been for sale about a year now with the £25k price, I suppose if you don’t ask you don’t get, let’s see what it makes. Difficult to price with there only being 7 or 8 but I’d have thought £15k more realistic. I sold it for £13k 2006 :D

Cheers

I don't mind that asking price - obviously - but realistically, I agree with Hodge that it will probably sell for about £15k.

One correction to the advertisement - there are 8 (not 7) RHD UK B3S Tourings.

In the meantime, I have captured screenshots of the advertisement (time/date stamped) in the event that I need to have a discussion about the value of my car, as these come up so rarely.

I guess its only value is what a buyer pays vs what the seller thinks its worth

Indeed an asking price is not proof of value, you need the selling prices for this info. ref a certain B7 that has been for sale for years at a silly asking price. The market would suggest it is a silly valuation too or it would of sold by now.
The insurance companies in my experience want proof of sold prices rather than asking prices when it comes to a realistic valuation unfortunately.

This sounds a sensible value to my mind. It was sub £10k when it last sold....high £9k's IIRC

I think Darren-mk was the previous owner to this chap, I expect he’ll be along soon when he sees it

Absolutely!

Thankfully I have an agreed value with my insurers - about half that asking price plus a bit - because actual sale prices are few and far between with so few cars.

I think that dealer is the one selling it on Collecting Cars, same location/image backgrounds and they also have an outlet in Malaysia which is where the C2 2.7 was rumoured to be headed.
