Indeed, one of the advantages of Alpina ownership is by its nature the majority (especially rarer models) are enthusiast owned, known to the community and have a good chance of finding the past history of a specific car.
Good for buyers, not good for chancers!!
Surely any serious buyer would be checking this site for info on this car, and as it’s “the only one” it’s easy to find info on it.

But was only a minor scrape on passenger side. Insurance companies writes cars off because they recouperate more money selling the car as is and paying the difference.

I've 'shared' info with a few as I know one or two were looking for that perfect B12.

I see it’s popping up on lots of BMW Facebook pages now with reference to this thread for more info on the car.

This has been a very interesting topic and I wonder if anyone considering paying anything like the asking price would not be getting an expert survey of the vehicles condition and history before parting with that sort of cash. There is a lot of choice of great cars, as much as I love Alpinas, for someone who has £100k burning a hole in their pocket. You couldn't consider it investment potential as it would take years for prices to catch up for any profit to be realised.

Note: Due to a number of time-wasters sending e mails back and forth, talking rubbish, doubting the existence of this car and its value.

For those who are seriously interested call me and book an appointment to view the car. There is not one like her in the mileage and condition.... search worldwide.
