B5 GT Touring for sale?

Post by will79 » Wed Apr 17, 2024 10:37 pm

I was excited to see the first GT for sale but I’m
Pretty sure this isn’t actually a GT? Lovely car all the same though if not.

Apart from all the questionable Marron Volciano bits the GT says GT on the plaque number and this doesn’t.
It might be the one that Tier One had for sale around Christmas with 4500 miles - Bramley bought my D5s #250 from Evolution and used it for a month or two adding similar mileage before selling it on - if so, someone there has excellent taste in daily drivers!
It may not be Alpina blue but it looks a lovely colour combination.

Agreed, looks great. I see the advert has had the “GT” removed from it. Bramley do seem to like Alpinas. Still lust after the green F31 B3 they had for sale a few years ago. 💭

I can confirm this is the same car i (Tier One) sold beginning of the year.
I sold it to a private buyer but it was too nice for his needs. Bramley offered more money than i did (very strong money imo).
They've changed the wheel colour to silver, the previous owner changed from Pirelli to Michelins.

It was a lovely car. If i didn't already run a G30 D5S as my daily i would have considered this.

The original owner did a great job in speccing this one and while I liked the original wheel colour but I must say, it really pops with the wheels in silver.

I don't understand how people can commit to a purchase like this though and not anticipate that it might not be the car for them. Surely you can work out if it's "too nice" just by looking at it?

Sale agreed on the website - this time last year there were a few B5s always available on the Sytner site but with no new order ones to trade in for now and the new 5 being such a munter anyway they look to be holding firm or even going up in value now.

Seems strong money but as you say, not surprising considering the new model. Keeping a keen eye on pricing myself as I need to get my hands on one soon as need something bigger than the F31. Kind of regret not buying the blue one at Whytehall for £50k last month but not my ideal spec/mileage. #540 that sold last month “through” CCars was perfect spec/milage/price at £61,640 but never came to market as such. These two sales last month give me hope 🤞🏻. Will put a post in wanted section soon!!

Yes I do actually. It’s a brilliant car. Just drives so well. Have you had one?

Not yet but it’s something I keep toying with, need to read up more on the difference between the MCV and a GS LE before I make a decision.

I’m told there is quite a difference but I haven’t driven the GS LE so don’t know first hand. The chap to talk to is Richard Grace. He has sold 14 of them. I think that’s out of 18 Uk cars. He sells lots of GS’s too so can give you an honest view. I bought mine from him second time round. It’s the second time I have owned the same car ☺️.
Your collection looks amazing. Some great cars!!

Thanks Will.

Going to make some time and have a proper read and watch some reviews, I know Richard, probably the most straight up car trader I have come across.
