Low mileage ALPINA D3 in Mystic Blue - £8,500

Post by castor » Wed May 25, 2016 11:03 am

Thought I would give this a head start on here before it goes onto Pistonheads / Autotrader next week. It would be nice to pass it on to an enthusiast looking for a good one!

2006 BMW ALPINA D3 in Mystic Blue

only 76k miles, full service history, 3 owners. £8,500.

Alpina No. 117. I purchased this car 3 years ago and according to the register it is only 1 of 3 cars in metallic Mystic Blue. The car has been very well looked after, serviced on the button by a BMW specialist. It was originally supplied by Sytner Sheffield and I have been in contact with the original owner to confirm this.

The classic alloys have been refurbished along with new decals in the centres and they are immaculate with not a single scratch. Fitted with Continental Contact Sport 5 tyres all-round the front tyres have 6mm tread and the rears are new having been replaced only 2k miles ago.

When I purchased the car it had the usual road rash on the front bumper so I had it taken off and repainted with new matt black ALPINA decals applied. The body work is still in great condition with a few stone chips as to be expected. The car is kept very clean, sealed and waxed regularly. Inside it is a standard car with the addition of a refurbished steering wheel in leather and alcantara with ALPINA green and blue stitching. I have the much coveted (and expensive!) Alpina floor mats in storage with a set of genuine BMW mats for daily use.

The car has been serviced and MOT’d with BMW specialist Bartlett Automotive in my ownership and its most recent service history is as follows…

41849 oil, filters, rear brake discs and pads
46981 oil, filters, front discs and pads
55827 oil, filters, brake fluids
69024 oil, filters, air cleaner, fuel filter, cabin filters, new battery

Currently the cars on board diagnostics are showing the following distances…

26000 until next major service
21000 front pads
19000 rear pads
18000 oil
11000 air filter

The car was MOT’d in April and has no advisories, expires 18th April 2017. The only thing the car has ever failed on was a fuel filler pipe leak when I bought the car in 2013 (known E90 fault) which was replaced.

The car has been totally reliable to own, starting every time, doing loads of MPG, etc. The only reason for selling the car is that we could do with an estate car now, otherwise we would be keeping this. Currently on a private plate but will be removed.
