That's amazing if it's true. I was about to post an estimate of about £45-50 per wheel based on the pricing for 18" wheels.

Get it writing

The approx cost will be £60 + vat for four wheels, please note that due to the age of the wheels the finish on the wheels will not be perfect as they often are pitted quite badley once the paints removed.
The price is discounted by £5 per wheel.
Kind regards

Hi,

I have a set of four 15'' Alpina BMW alloys that I wish to have refurbished. I was wondering if you offer a discount to BMW Car Club members?

Please can you give me an estimated cost for all four wheels?

regards, Mark Brown

Hate to say this, but that's a really badly worded mail from them and they mean £60 + vat per wheel, as per Vincents quote. That's about the right price for a wheel refurb as per Charles' comment earlier....We paid this for ours.

You can try it on, but I think if you turn up with the folding of £70.50, you'll be a bit short :D

I'd be happy enough to pay that per rim anyway. I'm going to try and hold them to their quote for a giggle though.

Best take your Dick Turpin hold-up gear for that one! Good luck with it....but be prepared for the worst  If they're as good as people on here say, I'd happily pay their £60 plus Vodka And Tonic for a quality wheel refurb - just a pity they're the other side of the country from us as it makes them a little impractical for us to use. Looking forward to hearing how Vincents classics turn out, though :?:

well, just got back my wheels after few days at Lepsons Swindon...and the results = :dance2: :yahoo:  :dance2: :yahoo:

Fantastic is the word...the wheels are like new.

These guys at Lepsons are just doing the job as it has to be done and they are very nice people.

I can not enough recommend them. £240 for the full set is really really worth.

again, extremely recommended refurbishment company

I just bought a D3 front Dynamic off the 'bay. £35 + Del. I was not expecting much.

Manufacturing date Feb 2005. It has a Lepsons QC sticker on it so it has clearly been refinished by them sometime between then and now. Lots of bubbling on both faces. Including painting over grit on those typical areas between the spokes and the rim. Initially I thought it had been repainted by them with the tyre still mounted but as the QC sticker is on the "hidden" part of the rim (usually covered by the tyre) this couldn't be so. I took it to my expert, Ian Jemison. Both rims out of true - presumably since refinishing. I semi-expected this at the price. Ian has said he can "true" the wheel but due to the amount if corrosion it will need to be powder coated, then wet-painted.

You get what you pay for. And a pointer......get rid of the OEM metal valves on the Dynamics. Corrosion WILL set in sooner or later.

Agreed...always will as it's a natural reaction. Unless, like me, you're unbelievably anal about cleaning and maintaining them, and they might last a 'bit' longer
