Sorry guys, unfortunately my grandmother passed away last week so i had to drop everything and run to India. Will be here until 20th ish so you'll be waiting for a while!

I've managed to make a tool to fit an M7x1 die in so I could tap the exhaust studs in situ. Now I'm waiting delivery of M7 stainless nuts that are a mare to get hold of and then I can start reassembling the head. They may have arrived now but I wouldn't know!

Sorry all, the project is still ongoing, but after my Grandmother passed, I got engaged and married last week. Also, I have moved to Essex as my role is now global, so its all on hold. I just need someone to put it all back together now and its up and rolling!

Hi All,

Just realised i haven't updated in 10 months, so better update, the car is almost done, but that doesn't include the MOT, so i'm hoping to be back with it around Christmas.

Will be good to get back in the driving seat and give her a good going over!

Shaziman. I wanted to find out what mileage your car has done, but when I entered your new reg into the DVLA MOT check website I got this.....

"No vehicle that matched the data you entered could be found"

I wonder if they would get the same result if you got caught on a speed camera

The previous plate is now on a TVR!!

Well, just thought i'd give you all a long awaited update, the car has now officially moved to Essex!

Also, Happy 20th Birthday to number 20, it was first registered on 27th September 1996, so now has averaged 7500 miles each year!

Right all, you must have seen the cars first outing to the Essex Breakfast Club where it met its long lost sister! Thanks for Terry meeting up with me, we got to exchange a lot of thoughts and good ideas.

So here are some pics of the car now:

Some more jobs on the cards, thermostat change and an acquisition from an idea from Terry! Watch this space!

If you have not already done so then it is well worth changing the water pump as well while you are working in that region. Make sure it is the metal one and not plastic. You don't want another head gasket blowing on you :?
