Sounds like you all had a great time. Sorry I couldn't be there but, as I explained previously, Sundays are now dominated by rugby and last weekend was the Grove Festival.

The good news is that my squad came home with the silverware so we are all very pleased as I am sure you can imagine :D

As I posted before on that thread - http://www.fastsaloons.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1274 - there is clearly interest but I have now got extremely busy at work and so wouldn't be able to do the organisation the justice it deserves

If someone would like to take up the baton - we have names and suggested venues already - then that would be the way to get the meet off the ground.

i definately think we need to have a 'destination' type meet rather than another 'Pub Meet' whilst these are enjoyable the drive there and back can often be the best part and that depends on what route and weather you encounter...

Because winter is on it's way it might be best to delay any meet of this type till early spring..

Thoughts?

Agreed. I was at the Hampshire BMW Drivers pub meet on Sunday with Simon (Alcorn) and he also suggested the idea of an Alpina meet down there next year.

As previously mentioned I will make enquiries at The Vyne and post on here when I have more info, which sounds a bit like I'm volunteering to organise it... :think :)

Good to see everyone on Sunday and catch up with Andy Augustou and Niki for the first time since Gaydon 2005. Someone I spoke to on Sunday said that it would be good to have a weekend in say the Lake District next year with a stay over instead of clearing off straight after the meet. I used to be in the BMW Drivers Club before it folded and we used to have a weekend every year in the Lakes which was always well attended. It would also be handier for some of our northern brothers to get to.

yes the lakes is definately doing next year and I think one of Kev's relations owns a pub/guest house up that way that could probably accomodate a few of us at least...

so Pete is up for organising the southern/hampshire meet.

Kev! do you wanna try and sort things out for the lakes? or anyone else who is up that way.

Ideally i'd like to get a calender of meets (say every two months) around the UK pencilled in by Christmas so that we can have some sort of plan for 2007.
