Gaydon 2006

Post by stephenperry » Mon May 01, 2006 10:33 pm

Can I ask what the plan is in regards to getting my car on the Alpina Register stand?

I haven't managed to attend Gaydon before, but plan to do so this year, and would like to know the procedure.

I'm a current BMWCC member and my details are logged with their Alpina car register

Stephen yes there will be a display at the Gaydon Meet and i'd like to see a good selection of cars probably will be in the region of 20 or so cars...

I spoke with the club office a few weeks ago and have reserved a space but the details aren't anywhere near being confirmed.. but watch this space...

Thanks Andy, don't mean to jump the gun but I've been asked if I'm attending with my region (Scottish) on their stand or on the Register stand - thought I'd better check first before making any presumptions

Stephen it's entirely up to you mate.. I know your car will look great on either the scottish region stand with Jim and the rest or indeed on the ALPINA one.

I'd be happy to see your car on our stand - it's just that at this stage i don't have too many details on the show or the size of our area etc...

Andy, What is the date for Gaydon. I think we will book the same farm [B & B]as last year and make a weekend of it. :)

to be honest guys i've been very slack on this - apologies. And I suppose if the truth be known the club office (as usual) have been slow to come forward with details)

I have requested a dedicated ALPINA section for the show (but as yet have yet to be informed as to how many cars this will accomodate - i requested 20 car spaces but expect to get 10-15 if we're lucky)

the trouble is Gaydon is a little too small for the size of the club these days but there's nowhere really suitable available at a similar rate to the club.

I will try and accomodate as many register members as possible with priority going to those that perhaps haven't been on the stand before and certainly to those in very good show condition and with more limited/classic examples.

I'll get in touch with the club office this week and let you know the outcome.

thanks Andy, scottish region of bmwcc has asked for a roll-call of confirmed attendees for their stand by the end of next week - i'd prefer to be on the alpina stand if given the opportunity, show my car with its siblings 8)

Simon

i'd love to see your car either on the stand or at a separate event.
and even if your car is not 100% doesn't mean that i wouldn't want to have it on the register stand, afterall it's not mean't to be a concour exhibition, the register is about enthusiasts...

however that said you should realy consider being a club member..
