same insurer: online quote cheaper than renewal

Post by vblanche » Mon Feb 13, 2012 12:37 pm

Does it make sense? received my renewal last week, did an online quote with the exact same details, and it's cheaper...does it make sense?

thanks

Yes - quite normal. Call them and ask them to match their 'luring' internet quote for new business. They should.

Sense and insurance shouldn't go in the same sentence!

They'll always try and fleece you for as much as possible then reduce the price to what it should be to make you think you've got a good deal

It's a lazy tax. Try a comparison website.

What they said ^^^^

It's always been the same, insurers hook you in with low initial quotes and then rely on those people (and there are a lot of them) who just grumble and pay up year after year. Always shop around.
