haha, who would have thought a simple question on car insurance could go so off topic.
Love it.

Rosa

When it is time to insure, it might be best not to let on about your forum name....."Trouble"! :D

When I was insured on a partner's car, her premium went up but mine went down when I added her to mine!

So, does that still mean insurance companies see the addition of a woman as a safer bet.....unless they're called "Trouble"?! :D

I suspect it's more to do with cover for a "partner" & that it also depends on the company as to what discount you might or might not get!

Sadly, Liz puts mine up, and I reduce hers, but unfortunately hers is much cheaper than mine so it's a loser overall as my positive effect on hers is smaller than her negative on mine. Ageism....isn't it great! Still, I'm only as old as the woman I feel etc etc

Hi guys,

My current car is getting shonky. The B3 is still available and not likely to go anywhere since no-one wants to buy it, so I've looked more seriously at quotes.

No one would quote with the supercharger on, so these are with the original bits put back on.

Adrian Flux £1010
Carole Nash £1270
Peart £1900

Peart have the best pliky plonky hold music which sounds like it was recorded by a child, so it's a shame they are the most expensive.

Advance drivers training would make no difference as suspected, and I would need to take the supercharger off. I've got all the original bits to go back on. Any ideas how much that sort of job would cost? Would I need to go to a specialist?
