can't be that sought after, as the same bloke already had it on a couple of months ago.

Probably says something about the quality of the Alpina systems, if nobody needs a replacement.

He also had the engine of that car on, too, and a few other bits and bobs

I admit I don’t regularly check eBay too often for ALPINA parts but it’s the first one that I have seen for sale

The sad remains of number 757 have featured as well - engine, gearbox etc.

The body shell is also now for sale on ebay.

It’s a shame what happened to the car :(

Agreed - I looked from afar at #757, when searching for a good one: the amount of detail the guy went into, video clips etc, meant I really didn't need to view it. Ultimately I couldn't quite get passed the "redness" of it, anyway: outside was lovely, but the inside  - immediately following the w/o I didn't appreciate he wasn't driving it at the time....there's a moral in there somewhere...

Didn't see the thread so i am wondering how it was written off,
was it stolen and/or in an accident? :(

From memory it went off roading down in Dorset or Devon somewhere: I don't believe it was stolen, though, just unlucky. It ended up buried in a ditch, real shame as it looked to me that different terrain could have meant a better outcome. This is the link to what used to be http://www.alpina.mfbiz.com/#

Wow nice car very well looked after, bet the owner was absolutely gutted,
i've just done a search for the shell on e-bay and a picture there shows it on it's side in a ditch  :(
the text say's a 'friend' of his borrowed it (with or without permission it doesn't state)
so he must've been doubly gutted

Tough way to learn about under/over-steer...from what I remember, there's a turn just before the photo's start ( I don't think he just dumped it in the scenery!). It was back in the winter, so a little bit of damp/diesel maybe, as well.

Its amazing the exhaust is still in perfect nic, considering the damage the car had taken. A crying shame.

Allways reminds me of my first b10. I'm allways wondering did it ever make it back onto the road again. I think it has, as there has been no mention of a b10 2001 being broken down for parts only this one at present.

If anyone does spot it, its Alpina blue reg plate Y258 LRR 2001 B10 v8. Let me know I would be very happy to hear news on this car either way.
