Apple Car Play

So my 2016 B4 did not have the Apple Car Play option selected and I wondered if there was a way to enable this through code option etc? Or has anyone opted for an alternate solution such as these below:

Are you running ID6? If so it will be an easy upgrade to CarPlay.

If you’re running ID5 then you’ll need a box.

How do I find our if I'm running ID5 or ID6 and if 6, how to upgrade to CarPlay or if 5, what box?

I believe ID5 has a Menu List View whereas ID6 has the Tile View? Mine is ID5

Evolve is holding an event tomorrow Sat 4th of May 6-9pm called Bimmers and burgers.

I thought you could activate Apple carplay through Bimmercode on the F series.

I thought you could activate Apple carplay through Bimmercode on the F series.

My understanding is that it can only be coded on later models, that usually means car with a build date of September 2016 onwards.
