I'd put money on the B3 touring being rarer than the F12

Hi chaps,

Just thought I'd stop by to introduce myself. The B3 Touring belongs to my parents. I used to work with IAM Joe so I've been keeping him abreast of the purchase. We're all really excited about it!

My dad has owned a series of BMWs, starting with an E36 320i coupe which he bought in 1993. Since then he's had an E36 328i, E36 328i Sport, E46 M3, E92 M3, E46 330i Touring and most recently an E91 335i Touring, which he bought new in early 2007. The B3 is the replacement for that and is his first Alpina.

The old chap and I are committed petrolheads. You can see my current fleet in my forum signature and dad has a gorgeous Aston Martin V8 Vantage 4.7 as well a Suzuki Swift as a run-around. I'm sure the B3 will be present at plenty of race meetings and events in the near future. I'll be very surprised if we don't take it to Europe at some point too.

I'm afraid I don't really have many photos yet but I'll share a few more as soon as we take some. The photo that Joe has shared is from our recent trip to the 74th Goodwood Members' Meeting where we brought my 911 and his B3 together for the first time. Sorry about the silver bullet from Stuttgart getting in the way!!

Andrew

PS - the old chap apologies for the lack of stripes but he's 63 and felt they were a bit beyond him in his advancing years. I'd have gone for the gold Decko pack myself ;)

Good to see they've let you loose on the forum Swifty  Welcome to one of the most exclusive (and quietest) car forums on the net. Not a bad thing!

Less of the silver 997 in the foreground and more of the green machine (including interior) please
