Coz its a right knackered looking mess Marc. Scuffed thru the top surface and rhs thumb / palm rest.
Wow that is awful!

Painful to get sorted out no doubt, from all angles (time, cost, faff) but it will surely be as good as new!

You've certainly gone about getting it sorted the right way.

Annual service and check up today with fresh Castrol 0W30 LL04 oil, oil filter and brake fluid.
A general suspension inspection of B3 Biturbo and no excessive wear on any of the control or radius arms and the front dampers showing no leaks, not even any oil misting at 105k miles (rears were changed at around 85k miles with Sachs).

First outing of the year at the Northern BMW meet. There was lots of very interesting cars including a number of Alpina in the car park of The Motorist. Just seems to get busier every time I go.

Dropped mine off at Swift Performance this morning. TIMING CHAIN time. Having now covered 174,000 miles and it last being done at 80,000 its about time. I've had no noises and oil changes every 6k miles for most of its life. I just couldn't wait any longer so for peace of mind have had to get it done. I wont hear anything from Swift for a bit as there is a lot of prep work before they get to the chain but keeping fingers and toes crossed it all goes smoothly. :pray :pray :pray

B2.5 - in green with cloth - such a classic spec. Cloth is so much more the drivers choice. I'd love to see more cars come with great cloth seats.
