Hi
Can anyone tell me the paint code for my MY1999 E46 Alpina in Alpina Green? Google isn't being much help. It might be
205 Malachitgruen Malachite Green Metallic Green 51 91 1 935 077
but I need to be sure.
I've lost one of the trims off one of the headlamp washers and want to buy a replacement.
Also if the replacement is listed as
cover, spray nozzle left painted
Is that "left" from the driver's seat or from looking at the car?
TY

If your car is genuinely "Alpina Green" then the Malachite green you are referring to is the wrong colour.
"Alpina Green" is a particular colour available only to ALPINA and it would be from them that you would need to get a part number.
I'm sure you've already checked and I may well be teaching you to suck eggs but what is the colour marked on the suspension turret in the engine bay?

Just says BMW Individual and then the undercoat colour which is crossed out.
Edit: I'll have to check that.
Would also love to hear any thought on this bit

I would expect it to be from the drivers seat.
However, give me a part no. and I'll figure it out.
As for a painted part..... chances are you will need to have it colour matched as it won't be available painted in "Alpina Green". From memory, Sandox (?) have a paint code for this colour.

I lost the front tow hook cover a while back and had to order the part and get it painted to Oxford Green II. The delaership did the work - no problem - but a £5 part ended up nearer £30.

I've already spent ~£12 on a bottle of touch up, £15 on a compressed air airbrush kit, £6 on thinners and £7 on clearcoat and laquer. Several nights spent painting and gettting dizzy from the fumes, only to find out they changed the size in 2001 and the part I bought and lovingly painted and cured doesn't actually fit.
So £30 for a painted effort is a win!

A little bigger than that......it's the European arm of DuPont.
The Alpina Green and Alpina Blue colours changed over the years. If I were you I'd email Buchloe with your VIN and ask them what your colour code is.

Definately part no. 10 for drivers side in a rhd car.
You need to be careful with these bits because of the pre/post face lift changes and different models (coupe, saloon, etc) used different light units.
On the paint code side, these are the two codes listed by standox. There may be other versions and they would probably need adjusting to match your aged paint.

cheers!

Any ideas on the paint code?
I guess I should email Alpina? Anyone got the email address?

It's there in front of you. A BASF mix FQ 86-60R3
You could always email
export@alpina.de or the person I contacted some time ago:

Does that mean there is no BMW colour code for that colour?
