2011 BMW M5 spy video
2011 BMW M5 spy video this car will be very fast and the tuners will have a field day with it.
Really does follow the family theme started with the E90 - looks as if the boot line is following the new 7 series. Interesting how they're trying to heavily disguise something at the bottom of the radiator intake, like there's some new Audi RS style air ram / grill at the bottom.

Well, I had an E39 V8 M5, then an E60 V10 - and I've just bought another E39 V8 M5joylove wrote:Gotta wonder who specified a V10 for the last model, before going back to the V8.
The V10 is a work of art - but it takes constant work to make it rewarding - and this makes it a tiring car to drive.
The twin turbo of the V8 should make it a real 'rumble in the jungle' machine, ready to burst with power when you want it - I'm looking forward to it

Perhaps I should explain what I meant, it doesn't really make sense nowpmjt wrote:Well, I had an E39 V8 M5, then an E60 V10 - and I've just bought another E39 V8 M5joylove wrote:Gotta wonder who specified a V10 for the last model, before going back to the V8.

The V10 will be ousted due to emissions, in fact turbo's will be on almost all petrol cars soon. The 2011 Fiesta 4 cyl 1.0/1.25 will be replaced with a 3 cyl turbo f'rexample.
So the V10 gets put on the scrap heap? Or passed on to the authorised tuners perhaps?
Not being funny but, did it *ever* make sense? It was the only model it featured in. Why did they make it? IMHO 'keeping up with the Jones' or the 'Piech's' i.e.: Audi (at least they got it into four cars within the group!) - try and make out it's "based on the F1 engine", yeah of coursejoylove wrote:Perhaps I should explain what I meant, it doesn't really make sense now
My understanding was there was very little else they could squeeze out of the V10 and it's far too highly strung to fit in with the warranty commitments of 'authorised tuners' - maybe I'm wrongjoylove wrote:So the V10 gets put on the scrap heap? Or passed on to the authorised tuners perhaps?
