Gatecrashing the BMW Car Club Forum

 as a proud new owner I'm probably a little bit evangelical in trying to convince people that alpinas are a bit special 8) but i'd like to see a presence in the official car club forum, what with the forthcoming relaunch of the alpina club register at the end of the month... have a look here: h...

Conditions applying to imported vehicles Your vehicle must be manufactured from 1993 onwards The courtesy car cover provided by our appro...

The Horrors of Thatcham Categorisation!

Got a renewal quote from Tesco and they insist on a Cat 1 alarm/immobiliser with a "certificate of installation" I was led to believe that a Cat 1 Thatcham was an alarm and immobiliser, and my 2000 B10 3.3 has both, as factory fitment (got a spec sheet from BMW listing "0302 Rem Con Anti-Theft" :?: ...

Alpina roundel replacements ?

I see some cars have Alpina badges instead of the BMW roundels.

Are these all fake eBay specials or are they available as genuine optional extras from Sytner?

Alpina B3 3.0 consumables

Air filters, oil filters, fuel filters, spark plugs etc. Do I use 328i ones or M3 3.0 ones?

Estimated value of 1996 B3 3.0 Switchtronic Convertible?

Can anyone give an approximated value on how much I should be expecting to pay for a 1996-registered Alpina B3 3.0 Switchtronic Convertible from an non-franchised dealer?

Needs tidying up cosmetically but appears to be mechanically sound, 64k miles, HPI check is okay.

Thanks in advance
