Mine has something called 'Aniline', which was a special order.
It's supposed to show all the natural grain, but it's a pain in the @ss as there is no topcoat sealant so it has to be 're-painted' quite often, otherwise it looks like the inside of a well worn 60's Jag

If E46 are Bilsteins, they can be rebuilt in UK for less than half the price new kit from Buchloe

I'm fairly sure with what I've spent on my B8 including the purchase price, it'd be enuff to buy a new modern Alpina

I believe they would have Bilstein dampers and Eibach springs/ARB's

If so, Bilstein UK have a renovation service which I used on my B8 dampers, worked out just under 1/2 price than a new set from Buchloe.

The EBC ones are Alpina specific, not sure about Pagid and Ferodo though

Second hand values over here for Alpina's much higher than UK, just look at difference in E38 B12 prices, in UK last one I saw was under £20k, over here they start at EUR 30k Specialist I use for my B8 has a 'basic' E46 B3s Touring 2003 and he's advertising in around EUR 24-25k. I get BMWCar monthly, I have UK bank account and do a Direct Debit from that and get it posted here to Lux and I get a special price, which works out well for me here. I personally have EBC discs and pads fitted and am very happy, never any problems.
Pagid also get very good reviews, and I think some people use Ferodo.
