Re: Happy birthday #049

That's brilliant, being a 1 owner car is something special but with that mileage as well. I've done 50,000 in mine in the 6 years I've owned it and still enjoy every miles so doing 385K is a bit special. Mark, this is a thread resurrection from last year 😄 To update, as of March 24, the car is 21 y...

A known pita job but anyone done it themselves or had it done to their coupe or touring?
At least once and probably twice :D

Left it to CPC to do as part of whatever long list of things they were doing already.

Condition aside, why do so few high spec newish Alpinas not have adaptive cruise? I’d live without it this time mind…
I drove a car with ACC over the Christmas break and absolutely hated it! Didn't feel in control of the car at all - which wasn't a good feeling, as I am sure you can imagine

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?

What were the symptoms for your Head gasket Simon? I'm sure Simon will be along shortly, but here are my experiences of a failing B3S HG There are a number of indications: - mpg worsens unexpectedly (depends, of course, on how carefully you monitor this) - pinking under load at lower revs (open the...

Lovely, very nice car. I had a little peek but didn't want to get too close in case somebody thought I was up to no good!
No problem! It is filthy at the moment so you didn't see it in its best light - but thanks for the compliments.

Did you watch the game?

Charles, how did you determine that the head gasket was due? I'm approaching 85,000 miles..... There are a number of indications: - mpg worsens unexpectedly (depends, of course, on how carefully you monitor this) - pinking under load at lower revs (open the window and listen as you go up a hill und...

Re: Pirelli P-Zero v Michelin p4s

I've been running P Zero's on mine now for a few years and really liked them. I've recently been trying to source new ones for the rear and experienced difficulty. In the end i e mailed Pirelli UK and they have told me that the P Zero has been discontinued :( :( . I'm now looking at Michelin PS5's....

Re: The waiting is over!

Congratulations Charles :dance :dance 104000 miles on mine. Anything i should be considering? If you haven't done it recently, then expect the Head Gasket to need replacing soon. On average, mine needs replacing every 85k miles Your shock absorbers will be getting tired but, unless you notice a sig...

Changed another original part - not many others left!

After 21 years and 402k miles, one of the lambda sensors finally decided to stop working.
