Asides from the lack of privacy glass and the fact that I’m not overly keen on the new alloys I can’t see much wrong with it.
Plus some classic ALPINA wood trim instead of alcantara would’ve been nice but not a deal breaker.

Could someone enlighten me about the process of ownership on this car... What’s the point in creating an advert now if the vehicle’s going to be ‘lived in’ for a few more months to come and have the milage adjusted accordingly? Surely anyone that has a firm enough interest in the car to put ...

Yes, the complete one off Blue Hera B3S saloon is in the showroom, so if anyone is interested in the car, don't hesitate to contact me. I Gary, it’s always nice to see you take an active roll on this forum as I believe it adds an element of ‘faith’ to the brand. With regards to LSD conversion...

Re: LSD
I loved reading your post re. LSD and am very excited to get one for my D3, does anyone know if it affects the warrenty? My car’s just outside of its warranty period so it makes no difference to me however, at the time of fitting, Kevin Bird mentioned that they’re using approved parts so, techn...

I always thought the petrol powered Alpinas had all the right toys thrown at them straight from the factory but, apparently, this can’t be the case. Can the stereo upgrades not be retrofitted at all? What’s more intriguing to me is the mileage... if it is just ten then that’d mean that a pre r...

Pretty sure there's only one B5 demonstrator on the fleet at Sytner - the green one. I believe they're now using a blue touring as well as FE18 OCC; https://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/search/?make%5B%5D=ALPINA&model%5BALPINA%5D%5B%5D=B5&finance%5B%5D=price&payment-term%5B%5D=48&payment-deposit%5B%...

This is probably a silly question but is the demonstrator B5 going to different to the, commonly known, green over beige one from Nottingham? Not sure to be honest as all we have here is a D5 demonstrator so it may well be the same car Mehh... I briefly spoke with Robbie on my way home who also let...

it's peak output being restricted by the introduction of AdBlu to reduce it's CO2 emissions. Does the current D3 BT not have AdBlu? It's listed at 350bhp and Euro 6. That’s where confusion kicks in... my wife’s car, a 15plate X5 30d, has AdBlu and is Euro6 compliant whereas my 65plate D3 (which...

The real problem for me on this matter is that, as a UK resident, I can’t help but to feel short changed at the fact we’re now being sold a car under the pretence that it’ll provide a ‘unique Alpina experience’ when, in reality, all we're getting is a repacked 540d. Even the LHD market’s...

Allow me to offer an answer to your query.. The outgoing D3 and previous generation D5 used a 'recoded' x35d engine with a raised performance output to distance itself from run-of-the-mill 335d or 535d cars that any Tom, Dick or Harry could buy. The six cylinder diesel engine isn't one that's produc...

Nice one RufTt12. Guessing from that you're keeping the D3 for a while longer? Enjoy! Yeah, i was toying with the idea of buying the unregistered blue B3s that's been ping-ponged between my local dealership in Harold Wood and Nottingham but, in the end, I thought I'd just make the most of what I've...

Experimenting with LSD
Okay, I admit it, it’s a click bait title but I genuinely wanted to share my thoughts on a recent modification to my 2015 F30 D3. After a couple weeks of deliberation I decided I’d take the plunge and treat my car to a limited slip differential from trusted BMW tuners Birds in Iver. For those th...
