As the person who Charles has quoted I am glad this is getting discussed. I have to say that when I joined this forum 3 years ago I did notice this behaviour almost immediately and therefore this has limited what kind of questions or discussions I have raised on this board. As nice as an ALPINA is.....

The one thing I will never understand about this forum is why some of it's members seem so keen to discredit and get over involved... Asking questions on ebay when you have no intention of buying, slating others choice of cars in the 'spotted/busted' forum, etc. It's like an internet witch hunt; not...

Low mileage ALPINA D3 in Mystic Blue - £8,500

Thought I would give this a head start on here before it goes onto Pistonheads / Autotrader next week. It would be nice to pass it on to an enthusiast looking for a good one! 2006 BMW ALPINA D3 in Mystic Blue only 76k miles, full service history, 3 owners. £8,500. Alpina No. 117. I purchased this c...

Velour mats?

I've got the original Alpina mats in storage and I need a new set of mats to use daily. I bought a set last year that are not great, quite wirey and hard to hoover out if that makes sense!

So, can anyone recommend a supplier of some good quality velour mats?

Followed you towards St Neots. Didn't realise the LCI cars had less 'dish' on the rear wheels. Looks a bit softer I thought

Autofinesse triple

I'm not normally one for believing the hype of a product, more often than not stuff doesn't live up to its claims - especially when it comes to detailing products. However, I've given this a go this afternoon and the results are brilliant. My car was professionally detailed around 2 years ago but I'...

This forum can, and has, provided some great information and advise... and it can also be a total cringe fest. This thread certainly falls into the second category for me.

It's a nice looking M3 in an unusual colour - that's all. Great to see a classic like this being looked after.

I use C5 but to be honest you really need to get into the habit of cleaning them weekly. The shape of the wheels lends itself well to having brake dust sit in the deep dish which builds up very quickly

Is the E90 cruise control a separate stalk to the indicator? Everything the slip ring controls is on the steering wheel itself, the stalks go into the column housing therefore not connected to the slip ring nor the column, if I am correct in my thinking. Apologies if not Looks like the module that ...

Retrofit cruise control for D3?

Hi,

I understand that this is an easy job with a change of slip ring and a bit of coding. Has anyone done this and could therefor confirm the right part numbers for the slip ring... There seems to be lots of different ones out there!

My car is an 06 D3 MT

Thanks,
