Re: Alpina c2.7 figures

Best people to ask are those that own them, Simon Alcorn, Tim Butler & Simon Griffiths are three as far as I know.

Re: ALPINA @ Silverstone Classic 2020 - Discussion thread

I would like to thank Charles for his assistance in helping promote this event. There are very few opportunities for ALPINA owners to get together in one location. I totally understand it is difficult to attend events for all sorts of reasons, personal, family, work, holidays and financial, I am sur...

Re: Alpina driver age demographic including Poll

Probably going to throw a spanner in the works here, had Company cars right up until 2008 and ALPINA was not on the list. Acquired and ALPINA at over age 50, never been stopped in it, because I look like a sad old man.

Re: Searching an e21 c1 engine

m20 b23 surely? The m60 is a V8 Thats what the e21 323i had and that formed the basis of the C1. As for the gearbox etc and diff, std BMW items as far as I am aware. So they'd be fairly easy to locate The engine will be hard enough to find but relatively easy to replicate today, the diff not so if ...

Re: Meet and run out 6th October 19 BMW HQ Farnborough

I would like to thank those owners who attend this meet today. I know there was heavy rain early on in the day, which cleared by the time we arrived at BMW and stayed dry via Goodwood.

Re: Events for 2020 in UK

I am planning another meet at CPC in May - the third in three years. More details will follow in due course. Also, if any member wants to organise an event then there is nothing to stop them doing so. There is no monopoly on organising something and I am happy to offer advice and guidance on how be...

Re: Pothole season opens, 20" rim part no. question

I had a similar incident on the A281 between Guildford & Horsham. I contacted Waverley District Council who referred me to the Highways Authority. When I spoke to them they said they were unaware of the specific pot hole and as such were not liable. However, now that I had brought it to their attent...

Re: Events for 2020 in UK

100% agreed anyone can organise anything they wish to, I am simply doing it due to the very few ALPINA specific events. But if anyone else has any good suggestions I am happy to help them or attend if like many others I can and it does not clash with something I committed to. Will be pleased to see ...

Re: Pothole season opens, 20" rim part no. question

I am not sure if this helps, but might. I have 21 inch wheels, the spare in the boot is 18 inch wheel with different profile, so when the 18 inch is put on the tyres match the same height. If the spare is a different size wheel that might explain?

Events for 2020 in UK

The evenings are drawing in and the weather has not been kind. Now my attention is turning to 2020 and which events I might organise either on my own or with the assistance of colleagues. Personally, I do not see any change in the current situation regarding any ALPINA meet arranged by or at Sytner ...

Charles , OK, we will use the word worry in this context to mean, I do not loose sleep, have my life changed or and overly concerned. In that respect I am not worried about the outcome.

Re: Warranty does not guarantee parts supply

The person specifically in his case nothing. I am talking generally, if a part which would have been covered under the warranty becomes no longer available then it is simply not covered in the sense that no part then no cover.
