Re: Ride Height
Is this because the fuel tank is on the drivers side?

Re: D3 2009 Alloy centre cap badges
The prices for those caps don't seem too dissimilar to what I paid a couple of years ago direct from a BMW main dealer. I paid less than £90.
That said even when I gave them the part number they still picked the wrong one off the shelf !

Re: D3 DPF "Challenges"
Good to here BMW not telling you that a new DPF is required. I had faults with my car when I first purchased it, BMW told me I need a new DPF and Turbo and they also replaced the swirl flaps . Took it to an independent who cleaned the filter and it ran fine for 7 years and the 50,000 miles I put on ...

Re: D3 2009 Alloy centre cap badges
If your just replacing the badge which has the Shock Absorber emblem rather than the whole centre cap, on my 2006 D3 i used a plastic knife to level the old sticky badge off, cleaned up any sticky residue with white spirit and then stuck the Pukar badges on. Had them on for 7 years without issue, gr...

Re: Alpina Driver Mat Emblem
Sorry for the delay. I've attached pictures of mats. All in good condition. Drivers mat looks different as I swapped the badge over from the old worn mat. Price wise difficult for me to say as they don't come up £70 including delivery? https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/48687736062_77d427d0b9_m.jpg...

Re: D3 DPF "Challenges"
When I first had my D3 MT and got DPF issues as well as a DPF clean the glow plugs and the glow plug controller were replaced. I think they tried the glow plus first but the controller also plays a process in the regen and after that was replaced it was all ok so long as I went for long runs at leas...

Re: What did you do in your ALPINA today?
Sold it! Goodbye D3 . Replaced with a G30 530i. Such a smooth car being an 8 speed auto but the Alpina looks will be missed.

Yes this is my Alpina which I traded in last week! Sorry to see it go but I wanted a bigger car and also didn't need a diesel any more. Traded it in from a 5 Series G30i. Only had it a week but love the smooth auto drive. Many thanks to MattOz whose brains I have picked to pieces on advice over the ...
