Car Details:
With only two cars built, this is the actual rarest of all production Alpinas (and not the B8 4.0 !):
Only two B9 coupés were built on the basis of the "old" E24 chassis, with the short stroke 3451ccm B9 engine. These cars were built alongside the B7S coupés and were used as "development cars" (Entwicklungsfahrzeuge).
The first one - production number 10 - was Hennarot red, with a dogleg sport gearbox: it is the test car featured in Auto Motor Sport in April 1982 and it was eventually sold to Japan in August 1982.
The other one - production number 35 - is an Arktis blue car with auto gearbox, which was sent to Switzerland in September 1982.
These two cars have the chassis, the 2.93 cooled differentials and the 300km/h dashboards of the B7/B7S.
The 73 other B9 coupés have E24/1 bodies, B9/1 3430ccm engines, overdrive gearboxes and 3.45:1 differentials. They are pretty different in character, more civilized.

Car Details:
First registerstered 14th September 1984. Is number 5-349 cars converted to Alpina specification by Sytner's of Nottingham when it was new. Has recently been resprayed in the original colour of Henna Red, has recently failed a pre MOT, as far as I know it needs;
All brake metal brake pipes (corroded)
Front and rear brake discs and pads
Exhaust system
Inner and Outer sill panels (corroded)
O/S/F floor section (corroded)
O/S/F Inner wheel arch (corroded)
There is an oil leak coming from the engine.
Both front coil sprongs (broken)
and a full service is required.
The car has been off the road, and stored indoors for the past 8 years and could do with some TLC to bring it back up the best condition. I have owned the car since 4th April 1990 and am it's 3 registered owner. I am selling this car as I simply do not have the time to have it repaired.

Car Details:
This is a very nice example of a high mileage but original Alpina. The original paint was meticulously reconditioned as well as the original leather interior. This one was imported to Texas as a new vehicle in 85 and remained there until I purchased it in 06. It is currently undergoing further reconditioning to remove the many miles and years of road grime. Last Updated: 9:22 AM, 7th August 2008 Car Added: 6th August 2008 |

This the press car from the 80s Many people say that but this is really the press car found in mags and brouchers at the time. It is the six in most across the range shots used by sytner at that time and can be seen in books such as performance portfolio.I bought the car in feb 06 it needed TLC. The man before me spent a lot of money on it but had lost interest in it. I have not lost interest in it but it has to go I am moving overseas. In the pictures it has not got its spoiler that is because I dont use it but I have it its in perfect condition just needs screwing on.When I bought the car I had no Idea how rare they are, I only know of 2 others Only one in the UK and this is the only one running. Anyway it would cost to much for me to take it with me so thats that.

Car Details:
Imported in 1985 and used for 2 years by the purchaser. Subsequently confiscated by Malaysian Customs for underdeclaration. Remained in customs store for appox 11 years and mileage in the clock is 18000miles. The meter gears probably jammed when she was not in use. Auctioned succesfully in 1998 and on the road since then with 2 owners before me. Still in original condition no accidents and everything works. A few items went missing probably while in sorage. They are alloys, rear end logos. The splitter was damaged by the previous owner. My B9 is a rare find indeed as I am a E28 freak and just missed out on a deal for a porshce 944 and one lucky day I saw her at a local used car dealer as the owner had migrated and left the B9 for sale. It was probably hard to sell as everyone actually thought it was an overpriced E28. But I knew what an original Alpina was and jumped into it. I am driving around in the B9 and she feels like a fairly new car and the bushings are still tight. The interior is unblemished except for the wear on the driver's side recaro. She still has her original coat of paint and will need a new finish. The Alpina stripes are not seen and I have written to Sytner on the production info/specs of the car. None of the Alpina stickers were present (maybe for tax evasion). photos to follow Last Updated: 1:14 AM, 26th October 2006 Car Added: 25th October 2006 |

Car Details:
Originally registered as AK 13, my B9 was the last B9 to be built at Sytner of Nottingham. This car is also one of only twelve automatics.
While the car is now kept as a hobby or a weekend car,I stil thoroughly enjoy using it whenever the weather allows.
Since buying the car in 2002 (after a long search) I have fitted the stripes, while they were an option my car was never fitted with them from new, and fitted a Recaro interior trimmed in striped alpina cloth.
Other work has included a top end re-build, a gear box re-build and much bitting and bobbing to retain the car's condition and individuality!
The most satisfying of the new parts fitted has been a Fritz's Bits bespoke stainless steel exhaust system. This replaced the original last year, and sounds even better! Last Updated: 10:46 AM, 27th February 2006 Car Added: 25th February 2006 |

Car Details:
Only aquired this beauty today. After owning 2 M535i E28s its like coming home!
The history is however a little vague, I have MOTs going back to 1994 when she was in West Bromwich, after this she moved to Bedford where she has lived until now (being dry stored for most of this time) covering only 20,000 miles. I have contacted Alpina GB but as she is soooo old they hold no info on the spec and could only confirm that she is indeed a genuine Alpina by Sytners of Nottingham. I may apply to DVLA for all the previous owner details and see if i can dig anything up!
She seems to be all original and is in mint condition inside and out, engine and gearbox are tight and quiet and handling is sharp and responsive.
There is however a little to be done, as you can see the front air dam is missing, this is to be sourced and fitted, the rear spoiler is a M-Tec type and the same goes for that. The exhaust has been replaced and exits at the rear near side corner,(why??) this i will replace with a s/s system and route it correctly. I am also contemplating the Alpina stripe kit but as the Recaros are plain i tend to think these were never applied!
Will update when needed. Last Updated: 9:15 PM, 27th October 2007 Car Added: 13th October 2007 |

TWR Pre-cursor to the B9 3.5
Built under licence by Tom Walkinshaw Racing.
Extremely Rare
Started life in 1982 as a sapphire blue 528ise auto until it found it's
second owner in 1984 when it had the TWR (Tom Walkinshaw Racing)
conversion. Spec includes 3.5 litre engine installed and the full
compliment of Alpina goodies, suspension, wheels, front/rear spoilers,
interior, steering wheel, gearstick and instruments. Converted to 5 speed
manual gearbox in 2003. Appeared in Total BMW Oct 2005 (Issue 59). For an
unrestored 25 year old car it's in pretty good condition but would benefit
from a bit of mechanical and a lot of cosmetic TLC. It's my daily driver so
will be tackling the mechanical bits first.

Build number 6 I believe of the 64 RHD B9's.
The chassis number is 7592207.
The car was first registered on 02 06 1983 and was utilised by Sytners in Nottingham as their press car until it was sold to Crown Foods Ltd in April 1984. I have tried to find out details of its life as a press car by buying various Alpina books and magazines from the time in the hope of finding an artical with my car in it.
The guy I bought it from purchased the car in 1998 and owned it up until my purchase in October 2003. He used it for various driving days at Goodwood circuit primarily. He then emigrated to France (although the car remained UK registered). Unfortunately by the time he got around to selling the car it had spent some time in his barn and was looking a little worse for wear! We had to fly to collect the car and drive it back (never having seen it before this was a little worrying) so were hoping it would make the return journey to the UK without incident. Needless to say it didnt go according to plan but was a great experience all the same.
Once the car was back in the UK I used it for a very short time to do a track day or two before seeting about the restoration.
The first thing was to deal with the MOT and engine. £300 later it had passed the MOT (some sterring parts needed replacing). A check on a rolling road confirmed the engine to be in great health so thankfully nothing needed there.
I have replaced the interior as the previous owner had all the original bits stored in the boot so a few grazed knuckles and a lot of swear words later the interior was all in. It still needs a few bits of trim inside where things like the door cards are frayed but that is the next job to sort.
At the moment the car is in the body shop having a full respray in original black and the front spoiler has been replaced with a brand new genuine Alpina part sourced from Germany by my local BMW dealer. I am hoping to get the car back within the next week when I will sort the bits of interior out and get a few more track days booked.
I am very conscious of just how rare these cars are and all the works I am undertaking on the car are in complete sympathy to keep the car as original as possible.
