Just off Ashgrove Rd earlier today. I didn't catch the model but assume its a B3 3.3. I guess this one is known about.

That's the car I've been after for a while. Owned by a chap in Inverurie who works in Ashgrove Road so it can often be spotted between the two areas, but not by me!

Here it is in AW's garage...

It's not ALPINA Green - what is that colour - there is a lovely B10 V8 in Nottingham in the same colour can't remember the name of it.

I can assure you that this one is Alpina Green :P
Remember it's the 90s version rather than the newer Alpina Green II, which is darker. I've had this E36 parked next to my E32 and the colour is identical. To be fair, it looks different when seen in isolation, as it does on the E39 Touring I had in my drive for a while!

Hi Guys, Just came across this thread and the owner works beside me. He has had it for quite some time but has never put it on the register. I'll let him know today that his car has been spotted and it is parked in the same location today.

Yes, it was there today and is there most days. Doesn't like using the company car park. Spoke to him today and shoed him this thread and he was surprised but had an idea who you were Chas.

It's a few years since I spoke to Malcolm at AW Autotec. We exchanged phone numbers but he never called me

Although I have worked with Malcolm for a few years at this company we previously used to share an office at BP many moons ago so I know him well. I will get some more details on the car tomorrow and try and persuade him to register the car.

AFAIK one of two 'Manual' B3 3.2 in the country. The other being an ALPINA Blue

Edit: manual from the factory before anyone corrects me

Mileage is about 72k and he was surprised at its rarity. He does remember meeting you.

That's much lower miles than I would have expected. I almost bought it when it was last for sale but Malcolm beat me to it!
The rarity is a double-edge sword. The USP of the Alpina was the switchtronic box so a manual box can be percieved as a negative, a bit like deleting the air-con in favour of a sunroof.
For my part, I prefer manual and a sunroof
